Portland Oregon forest elopement
On a beautiful summer’s day, these two international travelers came together for their Portland Oregon forest elopement. Marion and Alex have traveled the world, and found one another on social media through a mutual friend. They decided to put down roots in Oregon for the time being, and so chose it for their elopement. Their love story is such a dreamy one, and I’m so glad to have met them and spent time on this day together.

Renting an airbnb in the forest proved to be a great option. They had five of their closest friends and family in attendance, and everyone was able to stay in the airbnb together. They chose a ceremony spot in the forest behind the house, a short five minute’s walk down a path. Leaving everyone’s shoes at the trailhead, one of their friends officiated the ceremony, and everyone told stories.
A morning ceremony called for post-wedding breakfast! Everyone enjoyed coffee and donuts at the airbnb after the ceremony and portraits. It was truly an intimate elopement, and was perfect for these two poets.
This elopement day came together so beautifully. Their hearts are so open. Meaning that no matter what happened this day, as long as they ended the day married then it came out perfectly. I always love to see that energy on a wedding day, because it really gets down to what matters most.
Thank you, Marion and Alex for having me come along to photograph your barefoot Portland Oregon forest elopement. I feel so honored to document your story. I’m unbelievably glad that the stars aligned for us to find each other!
