I can not get enough of this little springtime bundle of gorgeousness, y’all. We captured her Oklahoma City newborn portraits a week after her birth, in their family home. I love laid-back portraits sessions like this. It’s low stress, low key, and the definition of lifestyle portraiture. When the baby gets fussy, that’s okay we’ll take a break in the comfort of their home. Everyone is more comfortable all the while, and everything you may need for the session is already present.
We photographed Amanda and Graham’s maternity portraits just the month before, and any reason to spend more time with them I will take in a heartbeat. The session started an hour or two after I arrived, due to my getting all of the baby snuggles in! The session itself was slow and casual, especially as we took frequent breaks for comfort and ease.
The image below brings me an extra hit of joy. I sewed this, my first ever, quilt for her and it was especially sweet to photograph her at her tiniest size on the quilt. I can already image as she grows and changes throughout the year just how small this quilt will seem to her one day.
