You definitely have that person in your life that makes you belly laugh sometimes even before they get to the punchline of the joke… I’m so lucky that Amanda and Graham are my people! They’re hilarious and witty, so generous and sweet, endlessly kind and effortlessly charming. I’ve known them both for most of my life – in individual ride-or-die friendships, then in our later 20’s into a strong relationship of their own. This spring they got back in front of my camera for their Oklahoma City maternity portraits, and it was and is a dream.
Beginning the session hearing the tell-tale tune of an ice cream truck in the parking lot of South Lakes Park, was perfect for this duo. They’re by no means camera shy, but it still added a uniquely fun element to ease into the session. South Lakes Park in Oklahoma City is a meaningful location to Amanda and Graham. Overlooking South Lakes Park east pond, they exchanged their wedding vows, and watched Amanda’s sister do the same years later. It’s a large park, with playground and basketball courts, and a soccer field in one half. And an event center, walking path and large pond on the other side.
We stuck to the side along the walking path, revisiting their wedding site and finding new scenic locations. This spring day was perfect, the weather was cool and the purple clover filled the expanses of grass. These two are so easy to celebrate, and I’m so happy I got to photograph their Oklahoma City maternity portraits!
Forever thanks to Amanda & Graham, for endless laughs, generous friendship and for having me capture all of your portraits over the years, including your sweet Oklahoma City maternity portraits.
