Are family portraits something you think about just when your kiddos are young and wild? Or also when they’re growing even taller than you? I’m the biggest fan of capturing portraits throughout all the chapters of your life, no matter your current ages or journeys. Every moment is one to celebrate because your family is a celebration in and of itself. This sweet family met me for their Oklahoma city Farmers Market family portraits in the autumn, and we had a great time exploring.
Their oldest child is now a senior in high school, so our two hour session together had two parts. The first session was family portraits for the whole group. And the second session was individual senior portraits, all taken at the OKC Farmers Public Market. I love that during the family portraits, we took time to capture a few combinations of mother and daughter, just the parents, etc! It’s so important to celebrate the individual relationships as well as the full relationship as a whole.
OKC Farmers Public Market
The OKC Farmers Public Market is one of my favorite portrait and wedding venues in Oklahoma City. It’s quite large, and varied, and makes for a ton of scenery options for backgrounds. There’s also a ton of small businesses around the Market building as well. Some sell groceries, some sell flowers and there’s even one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the state. Anytime of year, you can get great Oklahoma City Farmers Market family portraits.
Gathering Sunshine creates authentic wedding, elopement and portrait photography for genuine spirits, celebrating the power of connection. Based in Oklahoma, I am passionate about telling your story as it authentically unfolds. What excites me most about photography after nearly two decades are the endlessly creative, imaginative and remarkably kind people I’ve had the pleasure to meet and work with. As you’re in the process of looking for the Oklahoma wedding and portrait photographer who will capture your vision, I would love to connect and hear your story.
